I am trying to swap a Weber 32 DFEV onto a 1.8 liter stock Fiat 131. I can't get it to idle below 1500 and changing the primary jet and playing with float level does basically nothing. Any advice? Is it too much carb for a stock 131. All I really wanted was an electric choke!

Is it used or new?

As long as the carb is physically set to low idle, the usual culprit for a fast idle would be vacuum leaks.
