Città Crema Cinquecento Club

Postby Amacento » Wed Nov 20, 2013 8:22 am

I, with the loving support of the missus, started the Cream City Cinquecento Club with the launching of a blog in July. Since then, we've held 3 get-togethers and 1 impromptu gathering. We also launched a Facebook page.

The reason I've started this thread is to get ideas, on activity ideas, from seasoned members. It is important to note we are in Milwaukee Wisconsin. A few members put their FIATs away for the winter. But I am more interested in forging strong human relationships with members than I am concerned with whether they'll always show up in their Italian machines.

What do you think?

Thanks, in advance, for any/all feedback.

Amacento:
It is good to maintain some contact during the winter months. Have a gathering every two months or so to map out the summer months. One easy event is to find the local cars and coffee event and flood them with Fiats that are often considered be exotic. Another is to gather at a member's garage and help with a project for brews and pizza. You might have a parts car to strip for the first one.

Cheers

Ron -

Thanks for the advice. We had a small meet last month and I'm currently (somewhat secretly) organizing a small gathering at our local studio.

Our next 'normal' sized gathering will be in January. I definitely agree on your assertion… it's good to keep them going. I know one of our members is planning some mods for his Abarth (put away for winter). It might be cool to get some people together to drop in on him & lend a hand.

Grazie mille!

Thanks, Ron.

It's been a while since my last update. Shame on me.

Well, as the guy stepping up for FCA in our area, I have been aggressively pursuing relationships with other online/local groups.

I think it would be a good idea to post the established schedule for the Wisconsin-based group. All our gatherings begin at Bergstrom FIAT MKE (primary sponsor and local FIAT Studio), unless otherwise specified.

Mar 29 ~ CC5C Planning Session; Very rarely does serious success come without serious planning. A family meeting & short Cream City Cruise to Divino Wine & Dine followed by an impromptu visit at Reina Int'l Auto does the trick.

Apr 18 ~ CC5C & Bergstrom FIAT of MKE FIAT. FISH. FRY.; The club & local studio crew will get together for some non-business food & drink. It's about time. Join us at FIAT of MKE or The Fox & Hounds from 5:30pm until…

Apr 26 ~ Spring Thaw Cruise; The salt is gone! It's time to celebrate with a CC5C cruise to Wisconsin Auto Museum, in Hartford WI, and a family feast at Mineshaft Restaurant & Bar.

May 31 ~ simply MORE Cruise; Celebrate the first 2011-2012 FIAT ad campaign with a cruise to Highway 18 Drive-in (Jefferson County) or Skyway Drive-in (Door County). Stay tuned for more details.

June 28 ~ CC5C: Famiglia Fest; Celebrate Famiglia with a CC5Cruise to the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival. Admission is free of charge.

July 10-13 ~ FIAT FreakOut 2014; The national FIAT club, FIAT Club America, will hold the annual event in IL this season. CC5C will attend varying schedules. Stay tuned to make sure you can join one of our caravans.

July 19 ~ Trofeo CC5C 2014; Join CC5C in a relaxing reenactment of the Historic Elkhart Lake Race Circuits. We will, of course, stop for a family feast.

Aug 7 ~ ABARTH Experience Track Day; Join the CC5C caravan to this special event, sponsored by FIAT's ABARTH & Co. division. The 2014 Joliet IL ABARTH Experience is already shaping up to be a very exciting excursion for our club.

Aug 16 ~ CC5Celebration; Join CC5C as we celebrate our first year! We will caravan to Madison for a visit with our Madhouse members. We will, of course, stop for a family feast. Stay tuned for more details.

Sep 7 ~ CC5Cars & Coffee Cruise; Join the caravan as CC5C invades the storied Lake Mills Cars & Coffee event. We will, of course, stop for family feast.

Oct 11 ~ FIATs. Feast. Farewell.; Join CC5C on a backroads cruise to The Fox & Hounds Restaurant. This particular event was a huge success last year. Don't miss this opportunity enjoy the type of drive for which your FIAT was designed!

Oct (?) ~ Fiat On The Dragon; This event only happens twice a year and is FIAT Club America sanctioned. Stay tuned for more details.

November & December will likely be planning months with an open invitation to all CC5C Famiglia members & local FCA members. We want people actively involved with what we're doing. This year is going to be jam-packed fun… we want future years to trump what we're doing now.

We're meeting at Coquette Cafe tomorrow at 6:00pm and leaving for Jefferson at 6:30pm. The folks at Hwy 18 Drive-in are putting on a double feature. See you there!

We had a fantastic time Saturday. We'll need to tweak the concept a bit… to make more time for pre-cruise socializing. All-in-all, I am very happy with the turn out and the experience. Famiglia members from the Madison area met us at the Hwy 18 Drive-In. Unfortunately, our Oshkosh crew couldn't make this event.

Thanks to all in attendance (especially the X1/9 & 124 Spider). We caused a stir in Downtown MKE as well as the drive-in.

Something tells me our next event will be one of the best of the season. Check out our FB 'Events' page for details. See you then!

Thanks, Nick!

This weekend we'll celebrate the one year anniversary of the first CC5Cruise. We're driving from the MKE Studio to a winery in the Madison area. It should be fun!
