side moldings

Post by davel » Thu Jun 28, 2012 5:58 am

I recently had colored factory side moldings installed on my PE. I chose the chrome "500" sections to be installed between the rear wheel and the door. The moldings come primed and were painted by the dealer. The number 500 in the chrome section is grey color like a primer. Does anyone know if the dealer should have painted this the color of the car also??? I think it should have the dealer doesn't think so.

When up to the dealer to make modifications to "optional equipment" it is then between the purchaser and the dealer to work out the details.

Clear expectations up front ( "I expect the 500 inset to match the body color" or "I expect the 500 inset to be black to stand out against the body color") go along way in you getting what is expected in the end.

best of luck
