Fun dash icons

Post by janet70 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 10:36 am

Well I know I am a low-tech dinosaur, but I am enjoying the dash displays on my new Fiat 500.
Two days ago on my way to work, frost was on the road, and I ran over a previously squashed squirrel. Apparently either the frost or the squirrel triggered a notice on the dash saying "possible ice on road", and a little snowflake icon popped up. Neato!

Temperatures below 34 F triggers that. Not the squashed squirrel! Ha!

Now when your tires get cold and drop to 24psi, you'll get a tire pressure warning. Since these tires have a fairly small volume, they are very prone to change pressure with ambient temp changes.

Janet, I got to see the little snowflake and the warning in early Spring. I thought the car was smarter than me....come to think of it, it probably is! :?

I drive past a nudist camp every other weekend and I notice a slight pull in the steering wheel.

I hate TPMS. Oh well, Put air in and solved that problem...Wish the cold weather was as easily solved.
