Well, the Abarth will be very fast with 160 HP. If that's not a big draw for you then mod yours. Not sure you will get 59 extra HP and the ride and sophistication of the Abarth without spending more than if you just bought the Abarth.58FiveHundred wrote:I'm wondering if a Sport version with some aftermarket performance parts may be a better solution for me over an Abarth. I don't see the Abarth as any sort of collectible car that will hold it's value over time.

Re: Abarth?
Hey Y'all
Exciting news, our FIAT dealership has started taking orders for the Abarth! We will submit our orders in the beginning of March and expect to get the cars 6 to 8 weeks after that so mid-April. Make sure you put in your reservation now or you will be waiting even longer to get one. My dealership (Hendrick FIAT of Cary) is charging a$ 99 reservation fee this is completely refundable if you change your mind. If you are interested in reserving an Abarth or just want more information feel free to contact me. My email is isaac.navias@contact.hendrickauto.com or you can give me a call at (919 388-4600) and ask for Isaac.

Re: Abarth?
The Fiat website has the 'build an Abarth' tool up now, but still no word on when it will hit showrooms.
Re: Abarth?
Late April to mid May people who already placed orders should have their cars.

Great review of the Abarth. Set up just the way I would get it. I'm hearing if you don't have your order in already, could be a year wait for one; there is 200% more demand than FIAT thought.

Re: Abarth?
The first Abarth has been delivered to a customer at FIAT of Austin.
I talked to the dealer here in Mckinney and verified my car will be here next week.
A friend who ordered a white Abarth from Austin has been told next week as well.
Looks like all the cars are arriving!
Now I just need to take my CRZ to carmax and liquidate it.

Re: Abarth?
Well with an entire 53 miles on my car I have a few observations:
Positives:
1) Seating style is much more "upright" than my CRZ.
2) When I make my "tron" turns it just kind of floats around the corners without feeling like you are on rails. The CRZ felt like you were bombing around the corner and like it might tear loose at any second.
3) You don't notice the speed you are at in normal driving. It's a ticket waiting to happen. I have to get used to it and watch the mph until then.
4) The blue-me kills the Honda crappy voice command system. Just no comparison really.
Negative:
The only one so far is the nav being separate. It's okay just not as neat as the big friendly screening on the CRZ.
The only issue I have is that the clear bra guy does not have a kit for it. They have kits for the 500, but the nose is different on the Abarth. I am going to have another clear bra guy that can do free cuts give me a bid tomorrow.
