EcoDrive

It appears that the European EcoDrive software currently available is not compatible with the USA/Canada cars. I understand that there will be a new version coming out shortly.

I hope so. This is something I'm interested in. Out of the 2000 miles I've driven it, my car is averaging 37 mpg. Not bad, considering all the stop and go traffic, burnouts, etc.

I'm averaging about 31mpg. Lots of spirited short driving in and out of the city. Very little time at any gear above 3rd. I'm hoping they release some software after the NY Auto Show news on April 21.

USA EcoDrive

Post by Thad » Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:13 pm

The USA version of eco:Drive is now available at www.fiat.com/ecodrive. If you previously installed the Euro software, you'll need to completely remove it for this version to properly load. It seems that the Windows uninstall doesn't remove enough of it to let the new version work properly. I am using it on a Mac and it is a very fun and informative program.

Thad, How do I know if I have the euro or USA version? Could this be why my score is so miserable?

It wouldn't work with your car if you downloaded the euro software. That was the problem many of us had to start with.

Ecodrive

Post by janet70 » Wed Sep 14, 2011 6:13 pm

I have used my Ecodrive program and so far it has worked fine. Apparently I have a bit of a lead foot so I am working on that. I am anxious to see what "my" next score will be when I plug the USB stick into the PC again, as Hubby has been driving it and likes to treat "Rosie" as a 4-speed. I keep telling him I don't want to lug the engine but will you puh-leeze use fifth gear once in awhile because I am trying to save on gas!
My average MPG, which is mostly city driving, has been about 36.6.

My house is the little yellow one on the page. ; )

Oh, and I am still a lead foot...
