Mods to "Gumby"

Post by F500 » Thu Jan 12, 2012 9:13 pm

this past month I got a set of the OE FIAT Accessory "Slush Mats" for the front of my 500. I was trying to hold out for the WeatherTech Floor Trays but Winter IS here, so I picked up the OE mats instead.

I'm really happy with them. they look great and are VERY heavy, nothing like the "Slush Mats" I got for my Jeep Compass a few years ago.

any 500 owners in the 'snow belt', I HIGHLY recommend the FIAT Slush Mats! :)

Snow? What's that? We had some sand blow off the beach onto the road the other day.

I agree. Living in the Pacific Northwest where rain is almost a daily event, I bought the OEM rubber mats.

Pricey at $80.00 but as you said they are very thick!

Worth it in my opinion.

I HATE YOU!

also, I switched my 195/45R16 OE Continentals for 205/50R16 Michelin Exalto Pilots. MUCH better ride and grip. on the TireRack site, the Michelins are rated much higher than the Continentals and you know what? they're RIGHT! :)

added the Mopar Accessory Chrome Gas Cap a couple months ago. this past week I noticed the "500" emblem on it has come off. :( but underneath the emblem was another "500" in chrome.

so now I have to decide: do I go back to the dealer and have them warranty the cap OR do I just leave it the way it is? it doesn't look bad.....just no black textured emblem with "500".....just a smooth chrome one.

suggestions?

If you can get the thing replaced free do it.. Im going to have to check mine now to be sure that has not come loose. Was it glued? 2 way tape?, any way to tell.
