1978 Fiat 124 Spider won't start

Post by Charrell71 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 2:58 pm

Hello
Came across a good deal on a 78 fiat, been sitting for 7 years. Still having trouble starting after the following. New Starter, fuel pump checks out, new plugs, new coil, new battery, new ignition switch, new timing belt, new wires from ignition to coil. Cleaned carb and jets, I am getting spark but it seems to weak.

Any suggestions?

Charles

Are you sure you are getting fuel to the carb. Cars that sit often get rust in the tank which will clog up the fuel system.

You might try checking the timing as well.
Good luck
