Fiat 500 Article-Coming to America
Being optimistic, 2 years isn't too long a wait, and enough time to save up for one. Would love to see one at the Toronto International Car Show next month. It would be great exposure for Fiat.

It'll be like dangling a carrot in front of the horse's nose. :lol:Denise wrote:I'm looking forward to seeing the new 500 if Jim can swing bringing it to the FFO.
If the planets and stars align this will be my first FFO-looking forward to it.

I look forward to reading your review after the family and I get back from our trip to Bali. 30 degree temps there. Wonder if they have Fiats.

Well, I thought Iwould come back to this discussion and eat a little crow...
It looks like $4.00 a gallon gas is the number it takes to kill the SUV's ..
But just so everybody know we are still building 63% export trucks right now...
But now that I know I'm losing my job and with four kids to raise still..I will not be going to FFO. I fact all planned trips for us have been called off.
I hope coperate geed is happy they just killed another section of the middle class.. pretty soon nobody is going to be able to send there kids off to collage to be doctors and lawers..
Well, good luck..... Jerry

Sorry to hear about the job loss-The cup is always half full-perhaps this is an opportunity for you too.(thats the positive thinking side of me)
I really didn't think the gas prices would soar as quickly as they did either. In Canada the Oshawa plant that builds ford suv's is closing too-moving to US-some 2000 jobs will be lost.
Take care
Walter

Jerry,
Sorry to hear about the job situation, and that you won't be at this year's freak out. This will be our first, my wife and I have been looking forward to meeting as many people from this forum as possible. Whatever you do, don't disappear from the forum!
A similar employment situation pushed me into self-employment 11 years ago. Not an easy transition, and it has more up and down times to ride out than being an employee did, but it's working and I have a lot more control over my life now. It must be very tough right now, but I am sure there will be something else out there for you. Hang in there.
